I’m Mavina and I run the Teacup Press from my studio in Oxfordshire.

Working Under the imprint of Teacup Press, I design and make books and prints in small, limited editions and as one-offs, that are hand-printed and hand-bound.

Teacup press reflects my increasing interest in book arts; my books are made for the message. I want them to engage with the viewer on a personal level, to whisper something in the reader's ear and run away with them.

As an artist ideas are paramount, but I believe craftsmanship is an important element of printmaking too, and hand-printing allows me to make each piece individual.

My books and prints are inspired by wildlife and the passing of the seasons which surrounds me here in the Oxfordshire countryside and also the tidal marsh-lands of the Essex coast on Mersea Island.

Work is held in a number of collections including the artists’ books collection of: Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of the Creative Arts and the Artists’ Book Collection at Bank Street Arts.
